Disinfection and suture removal
- Visit the clinic the day after surgery to have the surgical site disinfected. The sutures are generally removed after three to seven days.

Bruising and swelling
- Bruising and swelling may develop for 48 hours after surgery. They will gradually subside over the course of two weeks, but there are individual differences.
- Use a cold compress on the rose for two to three days to stop the bleeding and minimize bruising. Use it frequently, but make sure it isn’t too cold and do not leave it on for too long, as there is a risk of frostbite. Use it for about 15 to 20 minutes and take it off for 5 minutes.
- Keep the surgical site above the heart for three to four days. Lowering your head will lead to increased swelling, so do not lower your head or lie on your side. - When the color of the bruise changes from purple to yellow, use a warm compress to promote blood circulation.
- Pooled blood may be discharged after surgery. If you experience sudden swelling, contact us.. |

Cleansing and makeup
- You can start to cleanse your face the day after suture removal. Avoid eye makeup for a couple of weeks after suture removal. |

Smoking and drinking
- Do not smoke or drink for three weeks to ensure smooth blood flow and to minimize the chance of inflammation and complications. |

Wearing contact lenses
- You might accidently pull on the eyelids while putting on contact lenses, so we advise that you avoid wearing them for a couple of weeks.
- Do not rub your eyes for at least a month after surgery. |

Day-to-day activities and exercise
- You can engage in your day-to-day activities, but exerting too much force in the surgical site can lead to bleeding, so avoid strenuous exercise for two weeks. |
