Taking care of the surgical site
- Rest for at least 24 hours. - You can wash your hair in running water and disinfect the back of the head two days after surgery. - Do not lift any heavy objects and avoid strenuous exercise for at least five days. - If you are using a wig, wait at least seven days before you start wearing it again. Make sure the fixing pins or tape do not come into contact with the transplantation site. - Tiny scabs will form in the transplantation site. Let them fall off naturally, which takes about seven to ten days. They may remain for more than three weeks; however, do not pick them off. - Dry your hair with cool air (using a hairdryer in cool air mode, electric fan, etc.). Do not use a comb. - Do not irritate the transplantation site by scratching or rubbing it. - Pimples may occur in the surgical site for up to three months after surgery. In this case, contact us immediately and pay us a visit. (If you neglect to take care of this issue, hair growth may not occur.) - Make sure that the transplantation site does not receive any direct UV radiation for at least three days. Wear a breathable hat when you go outdoors. |
Swelling
-You can experience slight swelling in the forehead area for two to five days. Make sure to use a cold compress on the eye area and forehead starting on the day of the surgery. |
Recovery
-The transplanted hair will start to fall out two to three weeks after surgery. It takes at least 6 to 12 months to see satisfying results, so you must wait with patience. - New hair growing from the transplantation site will be extremely thin, but they will gradually grow as thick as the hair from the back of the hair. Some patients may find that the new hair is semi-curly initially, but as they continue to grow, they will appear straight. |

Exercise and hairstyling
- We recommend that you refrain from working out for a month, but you can start engaging in light exercise, such as jogging and cycling, four days after surgery and jumping and weight training in ten days. Swimming should be avoided for two weeks and exercises that involve physical impact should be avoided for three weeks. - You can start dyeing or perming your hair after a month. |
